In September 2017 Hurricane Irma made landfall in Florida and proceeded to directly affect most of the Florida peninsula. It was right before landfall, when I wasn't sure if my part of Florida was going to be getting hit directly that I designed the Irmageddon graphic. During this very scary time, I did what I do best - design. Design is my escape - it soothes me. I wanted to design something positive and cute that would help me to realize that one way or the other my family, my friends and I would somehow get through this.
The devastation was formidable. The following Florida Counties were declared a Federal Disaster Designated area: Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Citrus, Clay, Collier, Columbia, DeSoto, Dixie, Duval, Flagler, Gilchrist, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lafayette, Lake, Lee, Levy, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Nassau, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sumter, Suwannee, Union, Volusia.
Florida, as usual, somehow got through it and is still recovering. Hurricanes are a part of life when you live in paradise. I guess it's the price we pay.

Rather, they are a call to overcome, to move forward and persevere - plus they are fun too! There are products suitable for everyone: men, women, children and even pets! If you do make a purchase I'd love for you to contact me with your hurricane survival story. Perhaps we'll even include your story in this website.
